Usability Enhancements
A set of targeted improvements are coming to CAS Analytical Methods, designed to reduce friction and improve the everyday research experience. Several enhancements meet or exceed WCAG AA accessibility standards, such as new link and highlight colors.
Clearer Advanced Search
The advanced search page has been redesigned for clarity and consistency — removing a busy background image and standardizing the layout to align with CAS SciFinder. The Validation and Method Category fields are also moving from free-text entry to structured dropdown lists, eliminating free-text entry errors that previously caused searches to return zero results.
Smarter Result Set Navigation
Applying a filter to a result set sorted by Publication Year will no longer reset the sort order to Relevance. Additionally, navigating from a detail page to the result set will now fully restore context: page number, sort order, and scroll position are all preserved.
